Finally, don’t forget to snack! On a long-haul flight, you probably won’t have a chance to stop for lunch, so try to pack a couple of healthy snacks before you leave. Pop-tarts, chips, fruit, bagels, and trail mix are all good choices. If you don’t like any of these foods, consider making your own sandwiches. Spread peanut butter and jam on them for a healthy treat, or just eat plain. A bowl of cereal is also an excellent choice.
Make sure you have some snacks and water on board, too. It might seem tempting to grab a candy bar during your layover in Toronto, but if your plane doesn’t let you eat while you’re boarding, you’ll get hungry and thirsty before you’ve even made it out of the plane! Pack a small refrigerator-freezer with your meals so you don’t have to grab a bottle of water during the flight. You’ll also have plenty of cold drinks during your long-haul flights to keep you hydrated.
